B.Sc. Nursing Eligibility

The minimum educational requirement shall be passing of Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years course)

Expert teachers

The teaching learning methods are lecture method, didactic lectures, discussions, and interactive methods such as bedside clinics, nursing rounds and practical demonstration, and Power Point Presentations. DVD, dummies and manikins are additionally used for teaching basic nursing skills.

Class Rooms

The TSA Catherine Booth College of Nursing provides pleasant and enthusiastic environment for the students with adequate seating, lighting, ventilation and AV aids. Like OHP, LCD, Models and Charts.

Library

The college of Nursing has got its own library shelved with 3000 nursing books, nursing related science books in different titles, current Indian and foreign journals as required and adequate to cater the needs of the students. Also the library has latest edition of all essential textbooks, thesis, journal with computer and internet facilities. Well established library with wide collection of more than 3000 books with 12 National and 6 International Journals.

Parent Hospital

The Salvation Army Catherine Booth Hospital is the parent hospital of the College of Nursing. The Hospital was established during the year 1895. It l caters to a large number of the needy, as in-patients and out-patients, providing specialized care in all the departments. Nursing students have clinical exposure at the Salvation Army Catherine Booth hospital

The College is situated at the Salvation Army Catherine Booth Hospital Campus and it is approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu as per Go MS No.1264, Affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University and recognized by the Indian Nursing Council & Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai with the intake of 50 students per year.
